Rana Kirkland began teaching kids enrichment classes 25 years ago. As a native New Yorker, she grew up watching plays on Broadway and was inspired to pursue a successful career as an actress/dancer. Rana has her BA in Communications and International Relations from the University of Southern California. She was the youngest to dance in the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, guest starred on the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and co-hosted an ABC series called Rhythm & Jam, teaching kids about music. In 2001, after her son entered kindergarten, she started the Arts Club. Sharing her inspiration of the arts has encouraged hundreds of young smiling faces and talented spirits.She is also a professional consultant for kids and kid related business. Rana Kirkland has served on The Board of Directors for the Independent PS #1 Elementary School and is currently serving in the Advisory Board of The Sheenway School.

Rana delights in baking oatmeal cookies for the Arts Club students on special occasions. Wrapped gently in a red cloth inside of a little basket, the cookies represent the Arts Club - Home Made & Pleasant.
